Annette Kennedy
About the Artist
Fiber artist, Annette Kennedy, grew up in Kettering, Ohio, and currently lives in Longmont, CO. She has been designing and creating art quilts since 2003. Emphasis is placed on quality workmanship. Frequently using personally taken photographs as her springboard, Annette employs techniques of machine piecing, fused, hand, and machine applique, machine embroidery and beading, and machine quilting in making her art. She uses hand painted and hand dyed fabrics along with commercial fabrics. Annette often will paint on the surface of a quilt to add detail, depth and shadow elements. Her art reflects her love of color and nature. She loves spending time hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Park with her husband, Rick, which provides much inspiration for her work.
